Interesting conversation I had with a co-worker. We were talking about this one gentleman who left our team. (Yeah...gossip so shame on me)....and I had mentioned that he had made racists statements to me once. She looked me up and down with this puzzled stare and was like: "What kind of racial comments did he make to you?" I could tell she thought I was 100% Caucasian...even a white person can receive racial statements. The man who made these stupid remarks is also Caucasian. Racism comes in all colors, honey not just one flavor. The co-worker is African American. I told her that I am Hispanic and that the man also made derogatory remarks against my ex who is Arab. That shut her up but how should I have taken this?????
